We had another successful tree of Joy project for 2010.

Gifts for the following Children’s Centres were catered for:

• Bambanani
• Bophelo
• Sinothando
• Hospice Childrens Section.

My most sincere thanks to all the Rotarians who so willingly assisted and contributed to make this project a success.

In excess of 200 gifts were distributed. A special thanks to Janine and Gill for their numerous contributions.

Bambanani Centre arranged a Xmas party for the handing over of the gifts. The Fire brigade assisted and a fire engine together with Father Christmas arrived with much ado to set the scene for the handing over of the gifts with eager children waiting in anticipation!

Our outgoing GSE Exchange Student, Celine Morolong requested information and photos from me. She is going to present our Project to the Clubs in the United States she will be visiting. This will be very good publicity for our club.
